early childhood classes

All Music Makers classes are based on the teachings of Carl Orff, Zoltan Kodaly, and Dalcrose. Students experience full participation in music through instruments, movements, speech and body percussion.

Fall 2011 classes start the week of September 12.

MUSIC MAKERS 1 (6 to 24 months)

Time to get moving! Parent and child enjoy listening, singing, dancing and playing, using a variety of musical instruments and props.

MUSIC MAKERS 2 (18 months to 31/2 years)

Parent and child move, sing and play together taking home lots of experiences and music to share.

MUSIC MAKERS 3 (3 to 5 years)

The growth continues - children now come on their own and enjoy independence and social interaction. Emphasis is on working as a group using instruments, games, puppets and other props.

MUSIC MAKERS 4 (K to grade 1)

Based on the teachings of Carl Orff, the children go on an exciting adventure of learning musical concepts, notation, ensemble work and instrumentation, using barred instruments, non pitched percussion instruments, singing, speech and dance with an emphasis on creativity and teamwork.
