Sara Munson
Owner/Instructor
Sara Munson has been a vital part of Music Makers since 2000, bringing more than two decades of experience, musical talent, and a warm, joyful spirit to her work with children and families.
In 2011, she became the owner of Music Makers, continuing its beloved legacy while nurturing a welcoming, creative space where music and community thrive. As a mother of four, Sara brings a deep understanding of children’s needs and the joys and challenges of family life to her teaching.
Known for her beautiful voice, caring nature, and playful teaching style, she has guided hundreds of families in discovering the joy of making music together. Through songs, rhymes, games, and folk dances—always filled with laughter and connection—she helps children and their grown-ups sing, move, and grow in confidence. Sara is deeply passionate about early childhood education and is committed to using the power of music to inspire children, support their development, and build self-esteem.
For the past 10 years, Sara has also co-taught Fiddlers Wild classes alongside fellow musician Sara Fitzpatrick. Together, they share a mission to help children learn music in a way that honours their natural learning style. By approaching music with curiosity, play, and wonder, children learn more easily and quickly, developing their musicality in a way that feels intuitive and true to who they are. Their approach fosters creativity and confidence in a supportive, community-centered environment where every child is free to grow at their own pace.
